crystal MAndalas
For many years, people have celebrated the mandala, which translates to circle, as a beautiful art form . My mandalas are created as soulful and light-filled artworks, and can be used to assist with a sense of calm, tranquility or to simply add aesthetic beauty to your space.
Before painting any of my original artworks, I light a candle and put on some beautiful music. I then begin painting with crushed crystals and minerals (you can find the crystals used on the back of your artwork). I finally attach an affirmation to the piece, that you can use as you gaze upon it.
When you receive an original artwork by me, you are holding a completely unique piece, infused with love and care.
My crushed crystal mandalas are available online at SALA and Bluethumb. They are also available in the Atelier Crafers and Fluerieu Arthouse Gift Shops. Please contact me if you would like to purchase or commission a mandala for your chosen purpose. Love, Sarah.
Loving Kindness
All of my original mandalas are created with love.
Crushed Crystals
The mandalas are painted using crushed crystals and minerals mixed with watercolour pigment.
colour therapy
I use colours to communicate the affirmation of each mandala.
affirmations
Each mandala comes with an affirmation.
REQUEST A COMMISSIONED ARTWORK

FAQsÂ
What is art therapy?
Art therapy is a form of psychotherapy that uses creative activities—like drawing, painting, sculpting, or collage-making—as a way to support mental, emotional, and psychological well-being.
It’s not about making “good” art. It’s about using the creative process to express feelings, explore experiences, and promote healing—especially when words are hard to find.
What happens in art therapy?
During your art therapy session, a trained art therapist guides the session so that you can create artwork, reflect on your artwork and use artwork to process your thoughts and emotions.
In your session, you will engage in creative processes—such as coloring, painting, sculpting, or collage—within a safe, supportive environment. I provide guidance while you explore feelings and experiences through your artwork. The process can be meditative and calming, helping you focus on the present moment, externalize emotions, and gain new perspectives.
Who can benefit from art therapy?
Art therapy is useful for anyone seeking growth and insight. It is especially useful for people dealing with anxiety, depression, PTSD, grief and stress, as well as life purpose and career coaching.
. Benefits include improved emotional expression, confidence, and coping skills.
Do I need to be an artist?
No! You do not need any artistic skill or experience to enjoy and benefit from art therapy.
In fact, it is often a bit easier for non-artists during the initial sessions as art therapy focusses on the process, not the final artwork or outcome.
You do not need any artistic talent—art therapy isn’t about producing a masterpiece, but about self-expression and finding meaning through creativity.
How does art therapy support mental health, and how is it different from talk therapy?
Art therapy offers a non-verbal way to process emotions, reduce stress, build self-awareness, and enhance problem-solving. It can be especially helpful for people who struggle to put feelings into words. As a complement to talk therapy, it can improve emotional regulation, foster resilience, and support personal growth. Evidence and case studies cited in the article show reduced anxiety and trauma symptoms and gains in confidence and emotional regulation.
How does art therapy online work?
If you choose to begin art therapy online sessions as a course, there are a few steps:
1. Begin with a 15 minute discovery session to check if we are a good fit.
2. If you pay for the course in advance, I will send you out a FREE art therapy kit, containing art equiptment and paper.
3. You can book your session and then we will meet on Zoom.
What is career coaching?
Career coaching is a professional service that helps people clarify, plan, and move forward in their careers through structured conversations, tools, and actionable guidance.
Rather than giving orders or choosing a career for you, a career coach partners with you to help you make informed decisions, build confidence, and take strategic steps toward your goals.
What does a career coach do?
I use art therapy and coaching techniques to help with:
-
Identifying strengths, values, interests, and skills
-
Exploring career options or career changes
-
Setting clear, realistic career goals
-
Improving résumés, cover letters, and LinkedIn profiles
-
Preparing for interviews and salary negotiations
-
Navigating workplace challenges or burnout
-
Creating action plans for growth or transition
How does art therapy-based career coaching work?
In one on one sessions we will meet in person or online.
I blend traditional career coaching assessments, Ikigai life purpose therapy and art therapy exersizes to give you a deep understanding of the best career for you.
I then offer support to gain your ideal career using art therapy, such as resume, branding, and referrals to business supports.
Who can benefit from career coaching?
Career coaching is useful for:
-
Students choosing a major or career path
-
Early-career professionals building direction
-
Mid-career professionals seeking change or advancement
-
Professionals returning to work after a break
-
Anyone feeling stuck, unfulfilled, or uncertain about work
Career coaching versus Therapy
Career coaching focuses on career decisions, performance, and future goals. Therapy focuses on mental health, emotional healing, and past experiences. I recognise that it is important to live your life purpose to flourish mentally, and so I offer a blend of the two.
Latest Project: Gratitude Tree
The gratitude tree uses creative arts therapy in a meditative process of creating a tree and taking the time to fill its branches with that which brings your heart joy.
Start by creating a tree trunk that reflects your feelings for the day, and then paint it black or brown.
After this, take the time to consider the things that you are truly grateful for, and write them along your trees branches.
Finally, paint some colour around the words to envelop your tree with leaves and a beautiful blue sky.
This is such a beautiful experience to do alone, or to share with your children. Remember to keep your art somewhere within eyesight to fill you with gratitude each time you take a glance.
